Mobility rules
From Bioptrain
To ensure the European character of Early Stage Training, the early-stage researchers are normally required to undertake transnational mobility (i.e. move country) when taking up their appointment. Special conditions exist for researchers holding dual nationalities and those that have been active in a Third Country for a at least 4 of the last 5 years. Researchers who are nationals of countries outside the EU and associated states can be appointed as early-stage researchers within EST Fellowships under certain conditions. As details of these regulations are complicated, you are strongly advised to read carefully Sections 5 and 6 of the EST handbook available at ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/fp6/docs/calls/mariecurie-action/handbook_est_200401_en_pdf.zip
